CABLE TRAYS
Cable Tray wiring systems are the more preferred wiring systems, than conduit wiring systems, owing it to their safety, dependability, space and cost. We at KMC, provide our customers with properly designed cable trays which give their wiring systems outstanding dependability for the control, communication, data handling, instrumentation and power systems.
Our cable trays are capable of supporting all types of wiring:
- High voltage power lines.
- Telecommunication wiring.
- Optical cables.
- Sensitive control wiring.
- Power distribution cables.
We at KMC fabricate cable tray systems from corrosion-resistant metal (low-carbon steel or an aluminium alloy) or from a metal with a corrosion-resistant finish (zinc or epoxy).
The choice of material for any particular installation depends on the installation environment (corrosion and electrical considerations) and cost provided by our clients.
Our range of Cable Trays
Ladder type cable tray:
- Ladder type cable tray is used for about 75% of wiring installations.
- It provides maximum free flow of air across the cables. Hence, the heat produced in the cable’s conductors effectively dissipates.
- Our company offers ladder type cable trays which are fabricated using premium quality raw materials.
Our Product Characteristics:
- Standard width of 150, 200, 300. 450, 600, 750, 1000 mm.
- Standard depth of 50-150 mm.
- Standard length of 2500 & 3000 mm.
- We can customize our product as per the stringent specifications of our clients.
- Maximum strength for long span applications.
- Corrosion Resistant.
Perforated type cable tray:
- Perforated type cable tray is used to support small diameter multi-conductor control and instrumentation cables. Small cables exit through the ventilation openings, which are either slots or holes, punched in the bottom.
- Perforated cable trays provide neat appearing installations, as no drooping of the small diameter cables are visible.
- We at KMC, offer a large variety of perforated cable trays. We use top of the line raw materials such as mild steel or aluminium to fabricate perforated type cable trays.
Our Product Characteristics:
- Standard width of 150, 250, 300, 450, 600, 750, 1000 mm.
- Standard depth of 50-150 mm.
- Standard length of 2500 mm & 3000 mm.
- Any other requirements of our clients are met at KMC.
- Our perforated cable trays do not pipe moisture into electrical components.
- They are durable and their usage is simple.
Solid Bottom Cable Tray:
- Solid bottom cable tray is used for minimal heat generating electrical or telecommunication applications with short to intermediate spans of 1500 mm to 3500 mm.
- This type of cable trays are mainly chosen for EMI/RFI shielding protection for very sensitive circuits.
- We at KMC, provide solid bottom cable trays in mild steel and aluminium.
Our Product Characteristics
- Solid bottom cable trays have a disadvantage of moisture accumulation. We at KMC, control it by drilling 6 mm drain holes in the bottom of cable trays, at the middle and very near the sides.
- We provide non-ventilated continuous support for delicate cables with added cable protection available in metal.
- Standard width of 150, 200, 300, 450, 600, 750, 1000 mm.
- Standard depth of 50-150 mm.
- Standard length of 2500 & 3000 mm.
- Our cable trays can be transmogrified as per our clients.
Single Rail Cable Tray:
- Single rail cable trays are used for low voltage and power cable installations where maximum cable freedom is required.
- This type of cable tray system is the fastest system to install and provides maximum freedom for cable to enter and exit the system.
- A large variety of single rail cable trays are available at KMC.
Our Product Characteristics:
- Standard width of 150, 200, 300, 450, 600, 750, 1000mm.
- Standard depth of 50-150mm.
- Standard length of 2500 & 3000mm.
- Available single hung or wall mounted systems in single or multiple tiers.
- Any other specifications of our clients are reckoned with at KMC.
Cable Tray Fittings:
Fittings are required for change in size or direction of the cable tray. Designs of fittings are done keeping in mind the radius of the bend. At KMC, the radius of the bend, whether horizontal or vertical is made on a custom basis. Fittings for 30, 45, 60 and 90 degree angles are also available at KMC.
Cable Tray Accessories:
At KMC, we use premium quality raw materials to fabricate a wide range of accessories for all types of cable tray. Our range of cable tray accessories provides low installation cost and time saving. In addition to providing improved electrical and mechanical features, our accessories improve the physical appearance of the cable tray system.
As per our client requirements our cable tray are finished in the following ways
Finishing of Cable Tray:
- Hot Dip Galvanizing: We provide our clients with hot-dip galvanizing following process & testing according to IS-2629 & IS-4759
Since, galvanizing requires surface preparation the cable trays are cleaned by acid cleaning or pickling. The cleaned cable tray is then completely immersed in a bath of molten zinc. The bath has 99.9% pure zinc maintained at 435-455 degrees. Our galvanized product has a coating thickness minimum of 86 micron i.e. 610gm/m2 of zinc deposition.
- Powder Coating: Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free flowing dry powder. Powder coating does not have a liquid carrier, hence it can produce thicker coatings than conventional liquid coatings, without running or sagging.
- Red oxide primer coating: Red oxide primer is a specially formulated coating used as a base coat for ferrous metals. Red oxide primer is an anti-corrosion coating designed to stop rust formation.
Red oxide primer coating requires surface preparation as a clean surface ensures that the paint applied adheres properly. Cleaning is done by manual tools, paint scraper, wire brush. Sometimes grit blasting is also necessary.
Application of red oxide primer is either done by dipping process or air spraying.
